WHAT IS THE Cboe V.E.T.S. MISSION?

Cboe V.E.T.S. (Veterans Empowerment, Transition & Support) is an Associate Resource Group focused on providing support and connection for current military members, Veterans and their families.

Our purpose is to provide a community of support to Cboe associates who have served in the Armed Forces. We create a space that offers camaraderie and acceptance. We are dedicated to serving our internal Veterans while also serving our local communities through our volunteering and recruiting efforts. Transition support and mentorship are additional ways we support our Veterans in achieving success in the civilian sector.

Military Benefits

Military Leave

Cboe is proud to support our military services members by providing military leave in accordance with applicable laws. We are committed to ensuring job protection allowing service members to fulfill their military obligations without fear of losing their civilian roles. Associates qualifying for reemployment after military leaves of absence of ninety (90) days or less will be restored to their former positions. Associates qualifying for reemployment after military leaves of absence of ninety-one (91) days or longer will be restored either to their former positions or, if their former positions are not available, to jobs that are equal to their former positions in status and pay.

Benefits and Pay

During military leave, associates will be paid the difference between their military base pay and their Cboe base pay, provided the latter is greater, for up to one (1) year. Individuals performing military duty of more than thirty (30) days may elect to continue employer-sponsored health care for up to twenty-four (24) months; however, they may be required to pay the full premium. For military services of less than thirty-one (31) days, health care coverage is provided as if the service member had remained employed.

Cboe recognizes the unique challenges faced by spouses of service members and we are committed to providing meaningful support which includes support through our Employee Assistance Program, our Mental Self Care program and also through Carrot which provides parental and family support. This reflects our dedication to fostering a compassionate work environment, including military related circumstances.
